SYNTHETIC DIAMOND

Photonics Spectra
Aug 2004
Element Six Technologies NVRequest Info

SYNTHETIC DIAMOND Available from Element Six BV is IIIa Optical, a synthetic single-crystal diamond material made by chemical vapor deposition. The company says that uniform physical properties in the visible spectrum, a high refractive index of 2.39 at 1064 nm, the transparency of the material, and its high thermal conductivity and high strength enable the manufacture of advanced diamond windows, prisms and lenses with low scatter in the visible and up to 235 nm in the UV.
