The electronic control system of Leica's DM5000 B digital microscope links the optical components and automatically selects the appropriate ones and their settings to match the user's chosen contrast mode. A touch-screen at the base of the upright microscope controls motorized functions, and the menu shows compatible settings for the mode being used. The settings can be saved and retrieved. The fluorescence axis offers a choice of a 53 or 83 filter turret.
