Laser Components (UK) Ltd. says that, by combining its Volume Bragg Grating (VBG) with one of a variety of high-power laser diodes, wavelength stability can improve to better than ±0.5 nm, linewidths can be reduced to <0.5 nm and wavelength drift can be reduced to <0.01 nm/°C. The VBG elements are available at the component level or prealigned with laser diodes, including 785, 808 and 976 nm, with an optical power output of 1 to 3 W for single emitters and 20 to 40 W for bars.
