STROBOSCOPIC CAMERA LaVision GmbH has introduced a video stroboscopic camera system that captures high-frequency cyclical events. It comprises up to four camera heads, a phase-shifting and synchronization device, a monochrome progressive-scan 1/2-in. CCD sensor and a PC. Exposure time is from 1 µs to 16 ms. The instrument operates at up to 25 fps with 760 × 580-pixel resolution and 8-bit depth. Object frequency is between 0.05 Hz and 100 kHz, with a freely adjustable phase angle and manual or computer-controlled phase shift. It operates in single-shot and time-delay modes and has a flash trigger output for synchronizing a xenon flash or a pulsed laser.
