UV MONOCHROMATOR McPherson Inc.'s model 231 Seya-Namioka aberration-corrected VUV monochromator provides improved performance and a smaller beam shape around the focus point. It has a 1-m focal length and is suitable for use from 30 nm to the visible wavelength range, and it provides ample work space around the entrance and exit slits to simplify mounting and interface for experiments in vacuum chambers. The optical system uses a single reflective element to disperse and focus, and aberration-correction gratings improve the results of vacuum-UV laser interaction experiments and other types of research.
