Hamamatsu Corp. says its two new silicon photodiodes offer a high standard of reliability in visible light detection and have an operating temperature range of 240 to 110 °C. The S6626 and S6838 photodiodes are suitable for headlight auto-on sensors, display control, copiers and cameras. The company says they can withstand exposure to high temperature and humidity. Their spectral response range is 320 to 840 nm, achieving peak sensitivity at 540 nm.
