PPT Impact camera systems from Edmund Industrial Optics Inc. incorporate a high-speed microprocessor, 128 MB of solid-state memory, Ethernet and serial interfaces, and a real-time operating system. The Impact C20's CPU supports a number of cameras with resolutions from 640 × 480 pixels at 60 fps to 1600 × 1200 at 12 fps, while the Impact T10 incorporates a 640 × 480-pixel camera. Both can be programmed with Inspection Builder software, which features inspection algorithms such as high-accuracy measurement, defect detection, part location, package inspection, OCR and data matrix code reading.
