Photonfocus AG has announced the Thunder and Hurricane series of fast CMOS cameras suitable for industrial image-processing applications. Providing a dynamic range of up to 120 dB, the cameras have a global shutter, consume little energy at high speed, and offer blooming resistance and high image contrast. The Hurricane-40 captures 37 full images per second at 1024 × 1024-pixel resolution, while the Thunder-90 reaches 87 fps with 752 × 582 pixels. The included software controls the camera parameters and stores them in the device. The cameras are available with a Camera Link or USB 2 digital interface.
