Suitable for rapid TTL triggering, the AvaTrigger manufactured by Avantes BV is designed for use with the company's AvaSpec spectrometers, providing additional capabilities for measuring optical and timed events. The instrument can be activated from an optical trigger that starts the integration time of the AvaSpec within microseconds after detecting a rising light level. The device also can be activated via either an external TTL pulse or pushbutton. It generates multiple pulses from a single event initiation based on the number of averages selected in the AvaSoft software, while the feedback loop ensures that the number of spectra taken equals the number of averages set in the software.
