Varedan Technologies has released the VMC-2000 series motion controllers for stepper and servo applications. They are available with four or eight axes of motion, and each axis features quadrature encoder feedback, optically isolated limit, amplifier fault, home sensor inputs, and an amp-enable output. The dual 12-bit digital-to-analog converters provide 16 channels of ±10-DVC analog outputs for servo control or general-purpose use. The controllers include configurable RS-422 differential line drivers, eight optically isolated general-purpose I/O pins and high-speed position capture input. High-density VHDCI connectors enable connections to the card without running wires and cables inside the PC chassis. Additional features include breakout boards, software, window drivers for plug-and-play installation, and example programming applications.
