Photonic Science Ltd. says that its PSL 11- and 22-megapixel x-ray FDI_VHR systems deliver better sensitivity than other CCD systems when short duty cycles are required, allowing simultaneous exposure and readout cycle. Features include 16-bit acquisition, >1003 antiblooming suppression, a 12-bit fast-scan mode, shutterless operation and a large area with high resolution. Low-noise operation enables long exposures for weakly diffracting proteins, small molecules, powders, and organic and inorganic materials. The cameras integrate with existing diffraction setups by providing a low-voltage TTL pulse for setting exposure time. A comprehensive software development kit and application programmer's interface is available for integration with Linux or Windows platforms.
