Osram Opto Semiconductors is offering the Sirilas SPL LG81 laser diode array for solid-state pumping, materials processing, illumination and industrial applications. It delivers CW output of up to 30 W at 808 nm from a laser bar comprising 16 emitters. The bar is centered on integrated cooling ribs to provide effective water cooling, eliminating corrosion. An enclosed casing protects against dust and contact, and an integrated lens produces an almost-parallel beam with a vertical divergence <1°.

laser diode array
A group of single emitter laser diodes, usually arranged vertically or horizontally with respect to each other. The power output of the array increases in direct proportion to the number of single emitters included. The diffraction limited quality of the overall array beam output will decrease in proportion to the number of single emitters used.
