Dalsa Corp. has released additions to its Pantera line of area-scan cameras. The TF 6M8 and TF 11M4 provide 6 and 11 megapixels, respectively. Based on proprietary TrueFrame image sensor technology, they provide ultrahigh resolution with high dynamic range at rates up to 7.5 fps. The low-noise CCD process allows 14-bit output, and the cameras achieve 2 × 36-MHz data rates. The company says that the devices improve efficiency, increase system throughput and can enable inspection systems with fewer cameras. Applications include electronics and flat panel display inspection, nondestructive x-ray testing, biomedical and scientific imaging, aerial reconnaissance, microscopy and archiving.
