Horiba Jobin Yvon Inc.'s Optical Spectroscopy Div. has released the automated MicroHR, a short-focal-length spectrometer that is used with a CCD as an imaging spectrograph or as a scanning monochromator for fluorescence and photoluminescence applications. Operating over the 150-nm to 15-µm wavelength range, depending upon the grating and detector used, it has a 140-mm focal length and it achieves 0.25-nm spectral resolution. Toroidal optics produce high-quality images. Features include fixed or micrometer slits, a high-precision drive, an automated dual-grating turret and a USB 2.0 interface. A side exit port for dual-detector mounting and an internal filter wheel are offered as options.
