Boston Electronics Corp. and Becker & Hickl GmbH are offering a spectrally resolved time-correlated single-photon counting (TCSPC) system. The PML-Spec is based on the latter's multidimensional TCSPC technique. The system's high sensitivity results from eliminating time gating, detector channel multiplexing and wavelength scanning. Typical temporal response width is 150 ps FWHM, and spectral response is from 300 to 850 nm. Suitable for biomedical fluorescence, time-resolved laser scanning microscopy and optical tomography applications, the system has 16 simultaneously recording wavelength channels and offers a useful count rate of >2 MHz and short acquisition times.
