SANTA CLARA, Calif., Aug. 11 -- Coherent Inc., a provider of laser-based solutions to the commercial and scientific research markets, has introduced the FieldMaxII laser meter to replace the original FieldMax. The FieldMaxII provides a new PC host interface, LabView drivers, ActiveX component, analog output and expanded pyroelectric sensor capabilities. FieldMaxII is available in either power-only, energy-only, or both power and energy configurations. Used in conjunction with Coherent's thermopile, pyroelectric and semiconductor sensors, FieldMaxII can measure UV, visible and IR laser output from the nanowatt to the kilowatt range and to work with continuous-wave and pulsed lasers with repetition rates of up to 300 Hz.
The new general-purpose meters are targeted at a broad range of laser users and manufacturers, including production test personnel, field service engineers, general scientific users and laser-based instrumentation builders.
