Edmund Optics has released three models of F-mount fixed-focal-length line-scan lenses. Available in 35- and 50-mm focal lengths, all have an f/2.8 aperture and a 45-mm maximum sensor length. They weigh 440 g and have a filter size of M62 × 0.75 mm. Minimum working distance for the 35-mm models is 0.19 m and for the 50-mm version, 0.25 m. Suitable for any macroprocess automation application, they feature a wide angular field of view: 23.1° for the Fairchild Owl, 32.6° for the Basler L100 and 41.6° for the Fairchild Osprey. A locking screw prevents system defocusing, even in areas that are subject to shock and vibration, and a click-stop iris enables repeatable illumination.
