For X-Ray ApplicationsTRENTON, N.J., Aug. 26 -- Princeton Instruments/Acton has introduced its Pixis-XO line of CCD (charge-coupled device) cameras for the low-energy x-ray imaging and spectroscopy markets.
The cameras offer a compact single-head design, USB 2.0 ultrahigh vacuum interface, deep cooling without extra peripherals and ultralow noise electronics.
The Pixis-XO camera line targets a wide variety of applications, such as x-ray microscopy, x-ray imaging, x-ray spectroscopy, extreme ultraviolet lithography and x-ray plasma diagnostics. This milestone in high performance soft x-ray imaging and spectroscopy, maintains the PI/Acton no-compromise approach. Ease-of-use is unmatched in the industry, with the.
The Pixis-XO line features a full range of imaging and spectroscopy back-illuminated CCDs, without antireflection coating, including proprietary 1340 x 100 and 1340 x 400 formats. Each operates at 100 kHz and 2 MHz. The camera can easily run from a laptop computer with the USB 2.0 interface and full triggering/shutter control capabilities are incorporated.
Pixis-XO cameras are available with the renowned WinView/WinSpec software suites featuring powerful data acquisition capabilities. A macro recording feature automates complex experiments. The camera line is also supported under LabView, with a full suite of ready-to-use VI modules for full integration. Linux drivers are also available.
