Request InfoSuperior Essex Inc.ATLANTA, Dec. 30, 2005 -- Wire and cable manufacturer Superior Essex has introduced a new family of "outside plant" fiber ribbon cable products containing between 288 and 1008 optical fibers. The company says the first customer installation of the 1008 fiber-count design is planned for next week. Available in all-dielectric and armored constructions, each of the new fiber cable products uses a stranded tube design containing up to 12 fiber optic ribbons per tube and 144 optical fibers per tube. Multiple tubes are combined within the cable to allow for the maximum 1008 total optical fibers....See full productRelated content from Photonics MediaPRODUCTSPhotonics.com 5/9/2023Optical FibersThe VHS400 Verrillon® series of specialty optical fibers from AFL are designed to withstand harsh environments within the oil, gas, industrial, geothermal, and military markets.
