A new fiber optic module from Optometrics USA Inc. produces monochromatic light from a fiber optic bundle. The company says this rugged, compact instrument makes operation as easy as turning on the lamp and rotating the monochromator dial until the desired wavelength appears on the counter. The unit can be used for remote spectroscopic sensing or in applications requiring monochromatic radiation that cannot be obtained easily by conventional methods.
