DILAS Diodenlaser GmbH produces its HLD laser diode series in different
versions to pump solid-state lasers in CW or pulsed mode, as well as
for direct laser operation. Applications include surface treatment and
welding of metals and plastics, and hard and soft soldering of metals.
Stacked InGaAlAs quantum-well diode bars are built up with 790- to
810-nm or 930- to 950-nm wavelengths. Each bar has an output power
between 30 W CW and 100 W pulsed; laser heads deliver up to 4 kW of
power.
