Horiba Instruments' LA-920 laser particle size distribution analyzer can measure particle size in light scattering applications. The instrument features a low-end limit of 0.02 µm, which the company says is the lowest available in analyzers that measure up to 2000 µm in the same measurement. Other benefits include an autosampler for continuous unattended operation, a PowderJet dry feeder, an automated centrifugal pumping system with in-line ultrasonic probe and a detection system with more than 87 elements. The instrument comes with a Pentium-based PC.
