Newport Corp. is offering 2-in. ultrafast laser broadband mirrors for ultrashort-pulse lasers. They expand the laser beam and spread its energy over a wide surface. The beam-steering mirrors have a 45° angle of incidence and feature minimum pulse dispersion, reflectivity of greater than 99% and a high damage threshold. Laboratory-tested to withstand up to 1 TW/cm2 with 100-fs pulses at 5 Hz at 800 nm, they support the bandwidth range from 700 to 930 nm. Surface flatness is λ/10, and scratch-dig surface quality is 15-5.
