Lumenera Corp. has announced the Lw230 series USB 2.0 digital cameras for industrial applications, particularly those in low-light conditions. The devices use a 2.0-megapixel CCD sensor with a resolution of 1616 × 1216. They can deliver 12 fps at full resolution and 30 at smaller regions of interest. Their electronic global shutter captures objects in high-speed motion. Requiring no frame grabber, the cameras provide plug-and-play integration with Direct Show applications. Available in board level and enclosed versions, they are offered with color and monochrome capability. Advanced camera control is available through a Software Developer’s Kit.
