Jenoptik Laser, Optik, Systeme GmbH has expanded its line of infrared cameras with the introduction of the IR-TCM 320. It registers 2-D heat distributions in real time with 320 × 240-pixel resolution. Temperatures from –40 to 2000 °C can be visualized as thermographs with 90-mK resolution. The company says that the camera offers long-term stability with regard to reproducibility and homogeneity. FireWire, S-/C-Video and RS-232 interfaces are available for integration into a variety of OEM applications. Configuration options include image analysis software, remote camera control and a wide choice of objective lenses with various focal lengths. A dedicated software development kit enables integration into specific software programs. Applications include industrial process control and automation, furnace monitoring and security installations.
