The Jibe white-light-continuum generator introduced by Del Mar Photonics Inc. for use with ultrafast lasers is paired with an amplified Ti:sapphire system, and a fraction of the incoming 800-nm pulse is used to produce white-light continuum. Pumped with 0.3-mJ, 100-fs pulses at a 1-kHz repetition rate, Jibe generates ∼10 μJ of white light continuum. Spectral coverage is from 450 to 900 nm with a Sapphire plate and 350 to 750 nm with a CaF2 plate. It is suitable for femtosecond time-resolved spectroscopy, microscopy, optical pulse compression for generation of ultrashort pulses, optical coherence tomography, broadband spectrum lidar and for providing seed pulses for optical parametric amplifiers. The generator is self-contained.
