BARRINGTON, N.J., Aug, 28, 2006 -- Edmund Optics (EO) said it will introduce 20 new product lines designed to work in the ultraviolet (UV). Products introduced in its fall 2006 catalog will include UV-NIR triplets, CaF2 windows, UV laser mirrors, UV filters, UV fixed-focal-length lenses, UV cameras, UV-VIS CCD spectrometers, and new versions of EO-designed and -uvbeameo.jpgmanufactured ReflX objectives. Also included will be scientific-grade instrumentation, including spectrometers, photomultiplier tubes, UV light sources and UV detectors. All the components are designed to integrate easily into prototype and production assemblies, and are available off-the-shelf for immediate delivery, the company said.

Biophotonics continues to be a fast-growing area that requires low-autofluorescence UV optics manufactured from superior grades of calcium fluoride, fused silica, and more exotic materials, EO said. For more information, visit: www.edmundoptics.com
