oHOT Deposition Sciences Inc. has introduced hot mirrors with the Super Heatbuster multilayer optical coating, that separates IR radiation from visible light in high-wattage lighting systems. The mirrors are produced using a patented microwave-assisted sputtering process, MicroDyn, that offers wavelength stability, durability and temperature handling. The Heatbuster coatings will operate at temperatures of 550 °C without loss of optical performance. The mirrors are supplied on borofloat substrates in thicknesses ranging from 1.1 to 3.3 mm.
