REHOVOT, Israel, Oct. 23, 2006 -- Holo/Or Ltd. has launched a series of elliptical diffuser elements that it said both creates a smoother output and adjusts the aspect ratio with the same diffractive surface. The ED-106-LR elliptical diffuser homogenizes an input beam and adds a 1.25-degree angle over the x-axis and a 0.80-degree angle over the y-axis. In the far field, an elliptical distribution is attainable like the one in the image below.

  • Insensitive to beam wandering
  • Suits single-mode and multi-mode lasers
  • Very tolerant for the beam quality of the input beam
  • Optional ar/ar coated
  • Made of pure fused silica
  • 25.4-mm diameter and 3-mm thick
Holo-Or can offer similar elements at other wavelengths from the deep ultraviolet to the mid-/far-infrared and at custom aspect ratios and angles. The element is offered in fused silica, zinc selenide (znse) and sapphire.
