Analog Modules Inc. has increased its line of flashlamp simmer supplies with the model 864. With a power rating of 60 W, the 864 has an adjustable open circuit voltage of up to 1500 V to initiate lamp ionization and an automatic trigger pulse of 520 V at 60 mJ for driving the primary side of an external-type trigger transformer. The device maintains an adjustable, regulated current of up to 500 mA through the lamp and, to prevent the lamp from going out between pulses, it has a post-flash-boost mechanism.
