Chosen by Favour Light to Power Camp Lanterns and Flashlights
DURHAM, N.C., Feb. 5, 2007 -- Cree Inc., a maker of LED solid-state lighting components, announced that flashlight maker Favour Light Enterprise Ltd. of Hong Kong has selected Cree's new XLamp XR-E power LEDs for its LED camping lanterns and a number of new flashlight models.CreeFavourLEDLantern.jpg
Cree's XLamp XR-E LEDs have been chosen to light several new Favour Light Enterprise Ltd. personal lighting devices, including this camping lantern.
According to the company,  XLamp XR-E LEDs are ideal for battery-powered, portable lighting applications such as handheld flashlights. XR-E LEDs also produce the high-quality, uniform white light required by flashlight manufacturers, Cree said. The white XR-E LEDs produce typical luminous flux of 80 lm at 350 mA, yielding 70 lpW.

"Cree power LEDs bring a whole new level of quality light to our practical, general-purpose personal lighting devices," said Shiu Shing, Favour Light managing director. "We can now provide our customers with extremely bright LED-based products at reasonable prices."
