photonics-industries.jpgPhotonics Industries said its DS series optical parametric oscillator (OPO) is the first to produce pulse rates at a repetition of up to 50k Hz in a compact, industry-rugged design.

These lasers are produced with either a fixed wavelength or a continuously tunable wavelength in the eyesafe region of 1.5 to 3.4 µm and feature intracavity frequency conversion technology.

Conventional OPO systems use low repetition rate lasers, limited to 100Hz, to pump the OPO. The DS series integrates the OPO within the Q-switched Nd-based oscillator.

The laser controller incorporates user-friendly, front-panel operation as well as external control via an RS-232 computer interface in a convenient graphical user-friendly configuration.
