The iKon-M series cameras introduced by Andor Technology provide 2.5-MHz readout for rapid image acquisition or fast focusing. Suitable for light-starved applications such as astronomy, high-throughput screening, semiconductor analysis, and chemi- and bioluminescence studies, the CCD cameras feature thermoelectric cooling to –100 °C, up to 95% quantum efficiency, an external trigger with TTL input and output, 13-μm2 pixels, USB 2.0 connectivity, and 512 × 512 or 1024 × 1024 active-pixel arrays. An integrated C-mount shutter is included, and adapters to other mounts are available as options. Preamp sensitivity and readout speed are software-selectable.
