Extreme Elliptical Diffusers

As LEDs become brighter and more energy efficient, they are being used in more general lighting applications. Many of these applications require a homogenized light without glare or hot spots. Luminit light shaping diffusers (LSDs) can provide these advantages and eliminate the need for secondary optics.

In the photograph, an LED lightline is partially covered with a 60° x 1° elliptical difffuser. This LSD spreads the light 60° in the horizontal direction and 1° in the vertical direction converting the linear point sources into a continuous line of light.

Luminit offers the largest selection of extreme elliptical diffusers, including 50° x 4°, 40° x 0.2°, 30° x 1°, 15° x 1° and 26° x 0.2°.
