Cleveland Crystals Inc. offers the Light-Gate II Pockels cell for high-power diode-pumped solid-state laser manufacturing. Featuring damage resistance comparable to KD*P devices, the Pockels cell reduces the potential for thermal lensing. Ceramic aperture plates prevent illumination of nonoptical components. Two transverse-field BBO elements produce a direct-current l/4 voltage of 2.8 kV at 1064 nm. Other benefits are single-pass transmission of more than 98% at 1064 nm and extinction between crossed polarizers of 3000:1.
