Matrix Inc. has purchased a uPhase interferometer from Fisba Optik AG to provide service measurements to its clients. The device can measure the optical surface of molded components and aspheres as small as 100 μm in diameter. The company said that the device also will allow it to work on more complex molded plastic lens designs for companies in the defense, medical and automotive industries.
