Bruker Optics Inc. has announced the Matrix-MF Fourier-transform IR process-ready spectrometer for monitoring and analyzing chemical and biological reactions in real time. The compact device features an automated multiplexer that monitors up to six reactions. The system employs a proprietary quick connector design to facilitate the exchange of fiber optic probes. A wide variety of probe adaptations, including the company’s new diamond attenuated total reflection probe, can be attached to the unit for in situ analysis. An integrated mercury cadmium telluride detector with a Stirling-cycle cooler is available when unattended operation is required or when liquid nitrogen is not available.
