The RMP-210 portable Raman spectrometer system has been introduced by Jasco Inc. It includes a 100-mm-focal-length holographic grating spectrometer, the RMP-100 microprobe, a small X-Y-Z stage, a compact diode laser and a CCD detector for sample positioning and capturing of digital sample images. The standard 532-nm green laser provides analysis for the majority of Raman samples, and the system can be configured with a 785-nm laser for deep red excitation for strongly fluorescing samples. The system is controlled via proprietary Spectra Manager II Windows-based spectroscopy software. It can be used in the laboratory or on-site for applications such as process and quality control, forensics, art conservation and mineralogy.
