  • TechSpec Preloaded Filter Wheels

BARRINGTON, N.J., Dec. 14, 2007 -- Edmund Optics has introduced new TechSpec preloaded filter wheels, six-position filter wheels that come preloaded with 1-in.-diameter filters. The wheels come with an instruction sheet showing the placement of each filter, as they are package-specific.

TechspecFilterwheel.jpgVarious packages are available including neutral density (ND), shortpass, longpass, dichroic and bandpass. The ultraviolet/visible (UV/VIS) ND and the near-infrared (NIR) ND filter wheel packages include filters with ODs of 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 2.5 and 3.0.

The VIS shortpass and longpass filter wheel packages include filters with cut-off or cut-on wavelengths of 500 nm, 550 nm, 600 nm, 650 nm, 700 nm and 750 nm. The NIR shortpass and longpass packages include cut-off and cut-on wavelengths of 800 nm, 850 nm, 900 nm, 950 nm, 1000 nm and 1050 nm.

A bandpass filter wheel package includes filters with glass reference numbers BG38, BG12, U340, RT830, U330 and U360. An additive/subtractive wheel package includes red, green, blue, cyan, yellow and magenta color filters.

According to the company, these filter wheels are ideal for DNA sequencing, fluorescence microscopy, laser beam attenuation and clinical instrumentation applications. They are in-stock and available for immediate delivery.
