ALEXANDER, Ark., March 17, 2008 -- Power Technology Inc. said its new customizable PMi laser module is capable of producing 450 mW from lasers ranging from 405 to 2330 nm and can deliver 500 mA to almost any laser in a 9-mm or 5.6-mm package.

A higher-power version of Power Technology's PM laser module, the PMi offers all of the features of the PM laser module including a precision current source and power and power levels that can be focused and adjusted by the customer, the company said.

PowerTechnologyPMi.jpgUsers familiar with the PM product will notice that the PMi is slightly larger (0.75-in. diameter) and is also slightly longer, Power Technology said. The module has a variety of applications, from positioning to alignment to analytical instrumentation.
