Headwall Photonics Inc. has released the Hyperspec VIS and the Hyperspec UV-VIS hyperspectral imaging instruments, which cover the visible spectral range from 380 to 780 nm and the ultraviolet to the visible from 330 to 825 nm. Both instruments use proprietary hyperspectral technology to generate aberration-corrected images characterized by 1- to 2-nm spectral resolution and high spatial resolution. The company’s holographic gratings produce a high signal-to-noise ratio and minimize stray light to achieve high photometric accuracy, particularly in dark background applications. The VIS model is offered in two versions, the A- and the C-series. Each offers 12-bit electronics and binning options.
