Prior-Scientific_NanoScanZ500.jpgThe NZ500CE NanoScanZ Piezo stage system by Prior Scientific Inc. is designed for researchers who use deconvolution and 3-D imaging techniques. It provides 5-nm repeatability and closed-loop control via a subangstrom-resolution piezoresistive sensor. The stage’s sample holder area accommodates well plates, standard slides and petri dishes, while the 500-μm travel range enables focusing over an entire well plate without having to adjust the microscope’s focus mechanism. It works with the company’s H117 ProScan II stages and H122 focus motor and is supplied with RS-232, USB or 0- to 10-V analog control. Moving the sample rather than the objective is faster and results in more efficient settling. In addition, multiple objectives allow users to create Z-stacks.
