The AnaLight 4D dual-polarization interferometer from Farfield Group Ltd. enables scientists to determine molecular conformation, structurally relevant binders, affinity and rate constants, specificity, concentration, adsorption or absorption to lipid bilayers, and numerous biophysical constants. The device can measure absolute and dynamic changes. It measures structural dimensions to ±0.1 Å, refractive indices to ±1 × 10–7 units and mass down to ±0.1 pg/mm2. The instrument can operate automatically or manually, with vials or 96-well plates, various flow-cell geometries and interchangeable fluidics options. It has a data sampling rate of 10 Hz, dynamic range of 1.0 to 1.5 refractive index (RI) units and a birefringence range of ±0.1 RI units.
