Rofin_Integral.jpgRofin-Baasel UK Ltd. has launched the StarWeld Integral, a system combining a manual welding laser with an optimized ergonomic design and high average power. Two additional operational modes are featured, including a joystick-controlled deposit welding laser or a high-precision CNC laser welding system.

The user has the option of selecting desired automation, thus performing the minimum of programming necessary. The system includes a large working chamber, providing space for objects with an edge length of up to 500 mm. Rapid and accurate positioning of objects with a maximum weight of up to 500 kg in all three dimensions is made possible via motorized X-, Y- and Z-axes.

The option of an open system laser Class 4 workstation is offered, allowing for oversize workpieces. Up to 200 W of laser power is available. The processing of perpendicular surfaces, undercuts or deep groves is made possible without turning or tilting the object because the optical system can be swivelled around two axes. The multifunction joystick and a large colour touch screen are sufficient for simple parameter setting. The system is suited for applications including precision engineering, electronics, thin-sheet metal, or the tool and mould industry.
