Request InfoDocter Optics SEDocter Optics GmbH has introduced miniature light pipes made of optical glass for use in LED applications and laser-based systems. The free-form lenses have a diameter of 2 to 3 mm and are 8 to 10 mm long. The company also manufactures light pipes with high slenderness ratios and lengths of up to 70 mm that can be used to modify the beam angle of LEDs or to reshape beams of light from, for example, rectangular to round. They have a contour tolerance of >4 μm peak to valley, and have plano, cylindrical, ellipsoid, parabolic or other boundaries that can be molded or ground and polished.See full productRelated content from Photonics MediaPRODUCTSPromoted Content October 2023 IssueSK-1300 Fused SilicaFused silica, the backbone of modern optical and semiconductor technologies, reaches new heights with Ohara's SK1300, setting industry standards for ultra-high purity, laser damage resistance, and...Promoted Content March 2023 IssueCustom Precision OpticsSince 1947, three generations of family leadership have positioned LaCroix Precision Optics as the premier manufacturer of precision optics in America.
