CarlZeissMicroimaging.jpgCarl Zeiss MicroImaging Inc. has unveiled the LSM 710 NLO laser scanning microscope for multiphoton microscopy. Based on highly sensitive detectors, the system acquires high-resolution images of fluorescent structures in living animals and in thick tissue specimens, enables functional imaging and long-time observation of development processes, and performs photomanipulation of fluorescent structures. Up to five fluorescence signals can be recorded simultaneously in nondescanned mode. The flexible beam path provides up to 50 combinations of excitation laser lines and can be exchanged by the user. Emission bands can be selected without filters or secondary dichroics because of new bandpass sliders in front of two, three or 34 spectral detectors.
