Gamma ScientificRequest Info
SAN DIEGO, Sept. 9, 2008 – Gamma Scientific has unveiled the RS-5NVIS digital light source to test and calibrate ANVIS radiometers and spectroradiometers.
Suitable for compliance testing in applications such as cockpit display backlights where lighting changes from tungsten and fluorescent to solid-state LEDs, the light source features a feedback-stabilized LED optical head with a diffusely illuminated area that can be filtered. It also has a light level setting to 1 part in 65,535 in absolute, NIST-traceable, ANVIS radiance and luminance units.
It offers high resolution and digital brightness control that, according to the company, provides near-perfect linearity and uniformity, and it is designed to maintain the lowest uncertainty measurements possible.
It is also equipped with a manual control and a simple ASCII computer interface control via the company’s built-in RS-232 port.
