Kappa opto-electronics Inc. has introduced the DX 3 black-and-white and DX 30 color progressive-scan camera systems. Both feature 1300 x 1030-pixel CCDs, are modular in design and offer highly linear signal processing. The typical frame rate is 10 fps; horizontal and vertical binning increase the frame rate and produce higher sensitivity. A PCI interface board optimizes the cameras' functionality. The complete system includes ImageBase software.
