Teem Photonics has introduced the SNP-30F-GM1, a passively Q-switched microchip laser for gemstone marking, for supercontinuum generation, for laser seeding for fiber amplification and for ranging. Housed in a compact turnkey package, the 1064-nm laser produces subnanosecond microjoule pulses at kilohertz repetition rates. It also offers short pulses at ~1 ns and a Gaussian beam profile of M2 <1.2 and is reliable in humid conditions.
