SANTA CLARA, Calif., Nov. 10, 2008 – The Avia 532-45 diode-pumped, solid-state (DPSS) green laser from Coherent Inc. was introduced to deliver diffraction limited output.
At 120 kHz, the laser offers 45 W of average power at 532 nm and provides a single mode output beam of M2 < 1.3. It incorporates the company’s PulseEQ to deliver constant pulse energy over time and ThermEQ for uniform pulse energy when the laser is operated in burst mode.
It is suitable for precision micromachining applications that require both high throughput and precision edge quality and in solar cell processing applications, including edge isolation of crystalline devices and P2 and P3 scribing of thin-film cells.
